Soulstone Gathering 2019 – Lurker beyond the Gate – Stone Day

Surface of the Portal shimmers and twists. It’s almost within one’s reach. Even though we cannot see what is behind it’s glowing and ever-changing facade, we can clearly feel someone… or something. The Presence. Something lurks there…

Third day of the main event is now over. If you weren’t stoned enough when you entered the venue, we’re sure that music finished the job soon after. Stone Day begun with filthy and violent set by Sixes, mixing up the dirtiest sludge and noise. Not a bit lighter, yet executing their compositions with different approach and finesse in arrangements, came Thaw, this time around without their signature hoods and smoke. DVNE, with their breed of prog metal, sludge and eastern melodies brought a breeze of fresh air, immidetely knocked down by Un’s funeral doom, as heavy as coffin’s lid. Then, Elephant Tree delivered essential and melodic hazy riffs with most pleasant vocal harmonies. You couldn’t say the last about the Conan, who closed the event- the rumor is, barbaric roars and clinging of weapons still echo throughout the night…

Below, you’ll find some photos and videoimpressions from the event – thank you for coming and see you soon at the Afterburner!
